University Area Health Clinic Serving Students in South Tampa, New Tampa & Beyond
A typical university health clinic is open weekdays during standard business hours. But what happens if you’re cramming for an exam on a Monday night and suddenly come down with the flu? Or you’re playing intramural flag football on a Saturday and sprain your ankle? Unfortunately, illnesses and injuries can’t be planned, so you need a walk-in clinic you can rely on for high-quality care days, nights, and weekends. South Tampa Immediate Care is the local urgent care center that students from USF, UT, HCC, and other area schools have been turning to for years when they need fast, effective treatment.
Below are just a few of the services offered at our university area health clinic:
- Flu treatment and flu shots
- STD testing and treatment
- Pregnancy testing
- On-site X-rays and lab tests
- Wellness physicals
- Vitamin B12 injections
- Sore throat treatment
- Ear and eye infection treatment
South Tampa Immediate Care is located at 602 South Howard Avenue, across from Evos and behind Chase Bank. We are open to students Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you would like to take advantage of our convenient electronic queue system, call 813-253-2113 or text “immediate care” to 626-414-3210 to enter our virtual waiting room. You will receive a call back or a text informing you of the current wait based on our patient load at that time so that you can stay in class or keep studying until your turn at our university health clinic is approaching.
